This rig is the brainchild of my grandson, Lucas, and has proven to be a successful one. It proudly features his likeness and reflects his Passion for catching large Pompano.

The coquina clam, a small ocean filter, is a popular food source for several fish species including pompano and whiting. In fact, anglers often find remnants of clams in the stomachs of caught pompano. Developed to mimic the colorful shells of coquina clams, our fishing rig is both crab-proof and attractive to surf zone fish. The Rig's beautiful shell serves as protection against the float being crushed by crabs, making it a sure attention grabber for pompano and whiting. You also can adjust your hook position you can use it as a floating hook with the eyelet and knot up in the shell or you can bring it down as a standard hook.
